THEODOSIUS I, (A.D. 379-395), AE 2, issued 383-388, Antioch mint, (5.222 grams), obv. pearl-diademed draped and cuirassed bust to right of Theodosius I, around D N THEODO SIVS P F AVG, rev. emperor standing right holding standard and globe, left foot on captive, around VIRTVS E VERCITI, in exergue ANTB, (cf.S.4184, RIC 63c.2). Black patination, good very fine and scarce.
