BOHEMIA (CZECHOSLOVAKIA), Albert Wenzel Eusebius Von Wallenstein (1583- 1634), 1631 medal in silver (38mm, 19 grams) by Philip Christoph Becker. Also 1934 memorial medal in silver (Bruce XM2), Kress catalogue 171 and reference book E. Nohejlova- Pratova, Das Munzwesen Albrechts von Wallenstein, Graz 1969. Toned good very fine and uncirculated. (2)

Ex Karl Kress Sale 171, March 1978 (lot 2561). Albrecht was a prominent leader who became so powerfull he sought to re- organise the empire. This was seen as a threat to higher powers in the empire and Wallenstein was assassinated Febuary 25, 1634.
