WILLIAM I (1066-1087), silver penny, BMC type VIII, PAXS issue, reading +SPRIECLINC ON CI, (Spraecline of Winchester mint), (S.1257, N.848, BMC 1127, [Pl.XXVII, 10, same dies]). Full flan, nearly extremely fine, rare.

An unusual reading for Winchester as CI but die linked to the British Museum example No.1127 (p.208).
