BARODA, Manaji Rao (Regent), (A.H. 1204-1208, A.D. 1789-1793), in the name of Shah Alam II (A.H. 1173-1221, A.D. 1759-1806), silver rupee, Baroda mint, with nagari `MA' and scimitar, not dated, (cf.KM. C.17). Good very fine, very rare, and the type without regal date apparently unpublished.

Ex Stan Goron Collection with his ticket and Robert Senior England, by private treaty. $$ Issues of this ruler, Manaji Rao are rare having not been noted by Alan (Cat. of Coins in Indian Museum Vol. IV Native States), Gyani (JASB NS.XXIX) or Taylor (JASB NS VIII) and only noted for a few dated pieces in KM.
